Last Saturday, Sherry and I hiked out to the Ancient Lakes, in the
Quincy Wildlife Area. Beautiful scenery and a nice walk. On the way back
we drove through the upper lakes. Even though there were lots of people
already staking out territory for the weekend, we still managed to see
lots of birds. The best was a TRUMPETER SWAN hanging out with a MUTE
SWAN on Quincy Lake, seen from the boat launch. Others birds encountered
throughout the day were;

Mute Swan 1
Trumpeter Swan 1
Gadwall

Mallard 7
Blue-winged Teal 1
Cinnamon Teal 1
Ring-necked Duck 2

Merganser 3
Ruddy Duck 7
California Quail 3

A TURKEY was seen at MP66 along

of Snoqualmie Pass heading home.

I will upload some pictures when Quest
finishes fixing the down lines at home.
