Congress' disabling of MBTA passed House. National Audubon Society has
petitionss at link below. But Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) just says he won't
do anything that would hurt Texas economy.

Apparently, National Audubon has concluded that Duke Energy is behind the
measure, after fines of $ 1 M for killing 150 birds ( including 14 Golden
Eagles ) in Wyoming energy fields. Audubon says that their lobbyist is
behind the appropriations measure amendment to negate the MBTA.
