Thanks to all who responded to my call for help in finding this bird. The funny thing is most pointed to my #1 spot for finding one in the County. I had looked three times this Month before today, I guess 4th was the charm 😀.

So a story on this one. I found a flock of about 50 golden-crowned sparrows and began working through them. This was in a usual location for white-throated but was not finding one when all at once the entire flock flew off together toward the parking area. As I followed them with the binos I caught in the background a person spreading seed and noticed that being the sparrows destination. So I walked over to the spot and there were birds all over feeding on the seed that was on the ground. It took about 15 mins before I located a single white-throated sparrow in the group. I watched it for about 10-15 seconds and it disappeared not to be seen again despite my continued working through the sparrows. In this park normally there should have been atleast three? Slow year and wonder if this warm winter we are having has something to do with it?

Once again thanks to all for pointing out seeing one recently. Also spoke with the gentleman who spreads the seed he started doing so for the squirrels and then the birds. He knew his birds as well.
