Just an FYI, NOT a criticism,
The word "hybid" is when two different species have bred, e.g. Townsend and Hermit warblers, or Western and Glaucous Gulls.

"Intergrade is used when two sub-species of birds mate. Intergrade flickers are a cross between a Red-shafted Northern Flicker and a Yellow-shafted Northern Flicker.
