Hi Tweeters -

Just got back from the Fill and had an amazing coincidence along with some nice birding.

Weather balmy and calm(y) - a floatilla raft of hundreds of ducks including Ring Necked, Coot, Gadwall, Cormorant etc...all in the foreground our magnificent Mountain nearly enshrouded in billowy white clouds making it seem larger than normal.

Then at the first little pond just off the lake to the right (what is that called??) I had been hearing what I think was a Marsh Wren amongst the blackberry brambles, singing away, chittering his heart out. It was not showing itself but making quite a ruckus. Some people saw me looking at the ground and from across the field I asked if they could hear it with "sign language" - pointing to the ground and to my ear...the huband pointed the the woman saying "she's the birder". They came over to us and got to talking and found out they were from NY - first coincidence - I went to school there. But then it got even better! He was here to do some work and I offered to take her birding tomorrow but then all of a sudden I remember I had plans since It was my birthday. Then it came - it is her birthday tomorrow too!! What are the odds of that!!

So, now comes the RFI - I did already have plans for the afternoon, and wondering where the best place I could take my new BFF (Bird-day Fast Friend) for a few hours. Want to take her to Sea Audubon. Would Magnuson be a good choice - weather permitting of course? She was going over to Discovery this afternoon. I will have a few hours and wanted to take her somewhere fun. So, where do the Tweeters take their friends when in town and with limited time schedules?

It's already going to be a great Bird-Day!!

So any suggestions will be welcomed gratefully.
