We received the following email at Seattle Audubon. I thought Paul, who lives in Saratoga, California, would like it if I shared it with Tweeters.

I thought you might enjoy this and would be willing to share with your contacts.

My wife and I created a Live YouTube streaming video of a owl house on our property. This pair of Barn Owls are nesting and starting to lay eggs. The owl house is specially designed with infrared lights and cameras, so anyone can watch all night long (and the owls don't even know it).

The link is here: https://www.youtube.com/user/SVNatureCam

You will see the "live cam" in operation 24/7. In the upper left corner you can pick one of two different camera views (front and rear). Also, the red scroll bar at the bottom allows you can move back-n-forth in time for up to 4 hours - to pick special times of activity. You just scan the images until something looks interesting and then you watch. For example, this morning at ~11:26am, the mother owl laid her first egg of 2015. I believe this inside view of new life is truly extraordinary, and people are very excited with the new set-up this year. Last year we had a strong following until the growing baby owl took out the camera! That's one reason for two cameras this year.

Please feel free to distribute - we want everyone to enjoy this up-close and personal experience living with owls.

Best regards,

Paul
