Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday December 3. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls
The GROUND-DOVE and CLAY-COLORED SPARROW continue along Wireless Road near
Astoria. On November 29 a TREE SPARROW was seen there. The DICKCISSAL is
still on the Bayocean Spit of Tillamook Bay. On November 26 a
YELLOW-THROATED WARBLER was photographed. It is still being seen near 18009
SW Swordfish Lane in Sherwood. The large HORNED LARK flock along Seward
Drive near Tangent contains a SNOW BUNTING, three LAPLAND LONGSPURS and a
CHESTNUT-COLLARED LONGSPUR. A RUSTY BLACKBIRD was in Roseburg December 2.
MOUNTAIN CHICKADEES continue to visit bird feeders west of the Cascades.
The bright MACGILLIVRAY¹S WARBLER on the east side of Coos Bay continues to
be seen. On November 26 a BURROWING OWL was photographed at the South Jetty
of the Siuslaw River. A ROCK SANDPIPER was seen that day on the jetty. The
CATTLE EGRET continues near the Tillamook Airport. A BLUE-GRAY GNATCATCHER
is now being seen at the Tillamook Bay Wetlands. On November 28 an adult
GLAUCOUS GULL was in Bay City.
On November 29 a WILSON¹S WARBLER was at Ridgefield NWR. The EMPEROR GOOSE
along Honeyman Road in Scappoose Bottoms continue to be seen. A ROSS¹S GOOSE
and a TRUMPETER SWAN is now being seen among the goose flocks at Finley NWR.
On November 26 a HARRIS¹S SPARROW was in Crane in Harney County.
