This morning I observed a WILSON'S WARBLER in my yard here on Discovery
Bay. I watched it for over a minute as it was flying about and catching
insects. It perched on the fence and some boards for great looks at the
bright yellow bird with it's black cap and large dark eye. So far this
month there have been 74 species seen in and from my yard. HEERMANN'S GULL
are still on Discovery Bay and I saw at least two at Port Hudson in Port
Townsend today.

This afternoon at Port Hudson there were 52 BLACK-BELLIED PLOVE, a lone
BLACK TURNSTONE, 140 SANDERLING and 58 DUNLIN. The shorebirds
started landing on the little spit there about 40 minutes before sundown
and they just kept coming in despite people walking out and spooking them.
