We arrived at Magnuson around 6:50 AM, parked in the large lot east of the
Tennis Center and started exploring the meadow southeast of the parking lot
and soccer field. We heard the Chat calling almost immediately, from a
very dense thicket south of the soccer field that is closest to the
children's playground. Another couple was there at the same time. The
Chat moved around quite a bit and perched up a number of times. Two
Wilson's Warblers were also moving around in the same area.

After a half hour we came out on a north-south path at the far east end of
the meadow and found a Lazuli Bunting in a tall tree.

An Orange-crowned Warbler and Wilson's Warblers were calling from trees
near the top of Promontory Point.

A Warbling Vireo was calling from trees adjacent to Sand Point Way at the
far north end of Magnuson Park, up the hill from the blue Sail Sand Point
