Not sure if this is a new one for you, but it was for me. This Thursday morning I was driving down the hill going north on 509 from Seatac. The highway there is divided, with shrub plantings and brush. A Bald Eagle was circling low over the highway. It circled downward, put its claws out and dropped onto the shoulder on the west-side. It rose quickly with nothing in its talons. Don't know if it was after carrion or live prey.

The whole procedure seemed Red-tail like. I know these eagles eat a lot of carrion, dead fish and are klepto-parasites. But if this is a new hunting ground for them, we might want to keep their endangered status for a while longer, as the traffic was heavy.
