The Semiahmoo female MOUNTAIN BLUEBIRD is still around. I saw it today on a small brush pile right of the road near the big Semiahmoo sign at the circular turn-around. The bird was very active, often dropping to the ground from a perch on the brush pile.

Also in Whatcom County, after a few tries I saw the mostly white RED-TAILED HAWK at the corner of Grandview (Hwy 548) and Blaine. It's a stunning bird.

On the way home this afternoon, Norman Rd (Snohomish County) was flooded at the west end, a few feet before it meets Marine Drive, south of Stanwood. The rest of Norman Road was dry, but the river was extremely high, so use caution should you travel in this area.

On the east side of Norman Road, I counted 40 (forty) BALD EAGLES, mostly subadults, at a single farm.

This morning I looked all along the Norman Road area for Steve Giles' adult GLAUCOUS GULL. No luck today.
