Yesterday multiple people re-found the Yellow-billed Loon in Tramp Harbor,
including Islanders Gary Shugart, and Harsi and Ezra Parker, leading a
Vashon Audubon field trip. It tends to be to the SE toward Maury Island
(the land mass nearby connected to Vashon a quarter mile to the south of the
fishing pier at Tramp Harbor).

They also re-found two Long-tailed Duck. Matt Bartells had told me about
the Long-tailed Duck when he came for the loon last weekend. Gary had this
to say about the Long-tailed Duck: "On age and sex, LTDU2 with the solid
color bill is an adult female, but unknown what a imm (6 mo old) fem looks
like at this stage. LTDU1, with the bicolored bill could be an imm male,
but both have distinct breast and white neck which is more femaleish."

Rich Siegrist reported that the White-breasted Nuthatch continues to visit
his feeder but unpredictably and not apparently associating with other
birds.
