We received this message at the Seattle Audubon office. I know many of you
have enjoyed visiting Tom Lamb's property. I don't think Debi is a Tweeters
subscriber, so if you have any comments for her, please contact her
directly.

Subject: Hummingbird Crossing

Good morning. I am not sure you are aware or interested but Tom Lamb, who
fed thousands of hummingbirds during their migration in his back yard in
Dixie Washington, recently passed away. I do not know if there are plans to
continue feeding the birds but am concerned that there may be a negative
impact on the hummingbird population due to their reliance on this site to
feed. Many thousands of birds visit this site each season and the site
has been an active feeding station for many years.
