[Tweeters] the yard; some leaving, some arriving, I'm mostly staying home!

The Fox Sparrows have gone, one lonely looking Golden-crowned Sparrow left, less than a dozen juncos chasing each other(down from about 30), Towhees hiding in brush but squeaking, Robins with mud in their mouth, swallows happy with new nest box location but house sparrows are not.

Warblers arriving; Orange-crowned been here a week or so, more Yellow-rumps, and the first Yellow Warbler today. Couldn’t get his photo but did get one of the Black-headed Grosbeak today and the first Goldfinch yesterday. Also had numbers of Evening Grosbeak and Red Crossbills last two days

The service berry is in full bloom, the bitter cherry is coming on and the current is fading.

Saw a dragonfly both days, probably a California Darner. Butterflies are starting; a blue, some whites and one orange who wouldn’t even slow down.

Bees and bugs aplenty.
