Here are some birds that lay blue eggs -

Vast numbers of birds lay blue eggs - they are common amongst thrushes,
starlings, crows, babblers, accentors, ducks, herons, egrets, robins, and
more.

Subject: [Tweeters] Robin's egg Question

While walking, I cam across a intact robin's egg laying in the dirt at the
edge of a parking lot.

Can any of you Tweeters tell me:
Can an egg be stolen from a nest without being broken?
Could the mamma robin have HAD to just stop where she was and lay her egg?
Are there any other senarios where a undamaged robin egg could have ended up
on the ground?
Do any ground nesting birds lay robin's egg blue eggs?
