Seabird numbers are diminished in Edmonds for the moment. It sounds as if all the action has been at Point No Point. There have, however, been a few Red-necked Phalaropes in Edmonds waters in the last several days. Yesterday there were three Horned Grebes north of the dive park and 28 Western Sandpipers along the beach at low tide. This morning there was one Western Grebe northwest of the dive park, seen at scope distance. Marbled Murrelets were north of the ferry dock yesterday along with a few auklets and guillemots. This afternoon there was a first-of-fall Northern Pintail in the marsh along with about 8 American Wigeons. A couple of days ago a Mourning Dove was at the marsh. Hoping that Kitsap County shares a few birds in the coming days . . .
