Hi tweets,

Last Friday I searched for the White-throated Sparrow at Magnuson reported
by Scot Ramos without success but found a Sanderling instead. Today I went
back to try my luck again and found it!

Walking along the paved trail leading from south to north next to the
tennis court by the play ground, I reached the T-junction near the soccer
field above the leash free area. First I heard its soft chirping in a
cottonwood tree to the left of the T (towards west), I searched for it and
found it. I Had clear views of the sparrow's yellow lore, white throat and
clear breast and belly but had bad pictures. It flew away towards west. I
went to the direction it went but it disappeared into bushes. I then saw a
few White-crowned Sparrows on the ground nearby, waited there for about 15
minutes. The White-throated finally showed up in the nearby bushes. This
time I got good photos within 15ft.

Here is a link to the photos of today's White-throated Sparrow and Friday's
Sanderling at Magnuson Park. Also the Black Turnstone and Surfbird from
West Seattle on Sunday I reported earlier.

Good birding,
