Hi Tweeters -

Happy Day after Thanksgiving...in between football plays, I just noticed a female Anna's feeding on a Camellia sasanqua (a winter flowering species) - just realized it's 'Apple Blossom' - hope that's not indicative of the game outcome! Anyway, it was enjoying all the open blossoms and then would go to the feeder for easier tanking up.

I also have Viburnum bodnantense "Dawn" flowering now, as well as the Sarcococca ruscifolia and humilis which they also feed on as well. Lot's of things to keep their engines going. I sometimes wonder if they might roost in the dense foliage of the sarcococca. I've tried to wait to see where they head off to as it gets dark, but can't seem to follow their path. Same for the other songbirds as well.

Does anyone have bird roosts? I have one that I've only had a rat "roost/nest" in!

Back to the game!!
