Today Michael Hobbs and I saw the Harris's Sparrow at the temporary feeders at the Morkin Center lot at Pacific Lutheran University about 11:30 or so. Watched for a few minutes with lots of Dark-eyed Juncos and Golden-crowned and White-crowned Sparrows. When the Harris's popped out it was immediately obvious. We had nice looks at one of the feeders for several minutes.
After that we went back to Gog-Li-Hi-Ti where we had missed on the Red-shouldered Hawk earlier. This time, about noon or so the bird was seen at the western end of the dry pond near the Puyallup River. It perched first on a large timber, then moved over to a nearby tree. We had very nice looks at both sides of the bird, nice crisply streaked breast, tail bands and some reddish coloring on the shoulders and breast. When we left the bird was perched in another tree a short distance north along the river.
