[Tweeters] re: sikes lake raptors

chiming in on sikes lake, there is a fallen tree a few turns from the end
of 100th (where it makes a right and becomes 284th) not far from the old
abandoned house which has a crumpling shed next it. that is fairly
frequently occupied by a cooper's hawk. day before yesterday i saw the
biggest male northern harrier i can recall seeing coursing in the same neck
of the woods. based on cruising that area over the past several years, i
get the impression most of the birds ignore the farmers, especially the
flower growers. that said, doesn't make a whole lotta sense to bug birds
any more than necessary.
