At 3:30 on Sunday the kids were dining on bird or maybe birds.  At first I saw the one on the left--which has it's back turned in these pictures--pick up some black feathers which looked like crow on the menu.  Then I saw some white feathers.  Could have been more than one bird.  They are sitting in sort of a well which hides the food but would pick it up as they nibbled.  Not the best pictures. There were lots of real photographers with long lenses so hopefully someone else will share.  Just wanted to post these so you could get a sense of what to look for if you show up and no one else is around.  I counted 12 people this afternoon at one time and others coming and going.  I stepped off 130 ft from the  first bench and of course they are on the river-side.  One parent bird perched on a low limb directly opposite on the other side of the boardwalk.  It was right up against the tree and hard to spot at 100 or so feet out.  Too far for my
camera.  The owlets were moving around and I never got a good picture of them both looking out at the same time.  It's interesting how fierce they look already.  The broader view is pretty much what you see with bins.
