Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday December 26. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls
at 503-233-3976.

On December 24 a RUSTY BLACKBIRD was in a blackbird flock near Kelley Point
Park in North Portland. Others were seen during the week along Main Street
in Washougal and near the Library in Hillsboro. The Coos Bay PAINTED BUNTING
and the Ankeny NWR YELLOW-THROATED WARBLER continue to be seen, though the
Painted Bunting was not seen December 25.

On December 25 two BARN SWALLOWS were at the Painted Bunting site on Coos
Bay. The CLAY-COLORED SPARROW continues at the Marine Science Center on
Yaquina Bay. On December 19 a MOCKINGBIRD was at an Astoria feeder. A
GOSHAWK was seen December 21 at the Astoria Airport.

An immature ROSS¹S GOOSE was with a large goose flock near Vancouver Lake
December 18. A BRANT was in the flock December 24. A GOLDEN EAGLE was seen
December 22 along Rentenaar Road on Sauvie Island. On December 18 a SWAMP
SPARROW was among a large sparrow flock at the Fernhill Wetlands. A HARRIS¹S
SPARROW is now coming to a feeder in Silverton. The Linn County BURROWING
OWL continues to be seen. On December 25 a WESTERN TANAGER was at an Eugene
feeder. A colorful FERRUGINOUS HAWK was photographed December 25 at Emigrant
Lake near Ashland.

On December 21 a flock of GRAY-CROWNED ROSY-FINCHES was along Hwy 27 near
the Junction of Hwy 20 east of Brothers.
