Hi Tweets,

Need help ID some birds. See pictures with the link:

Buff-breasted Sandpiper:

These two Pictures are from web. I saw a bird at about 11:30am on Aug. 25,
2013 at Nisqually NWR new dike salt water mudflat side briefly that looked
a lot like these pictures with long very yellow legs and upright posture. A
group of people with the Western Ornithologists field trip saw it and they
all noticed these characters. Several of us at the time doubted its ID as
Least Sandpiper. But nobody saw any buff on its breast either. Sorry no
pictures of the bird we saw. It took off quickly. No noticeable marking
when it flew. Will the posture enough to differentiate Buff-breasted from
the least?

Hudsonian Godwit

The picture was taken at the Westport long pier on Aug. 21. There were
about 200 Godwits. At the time I did not pick out any bird that looked like
Hudsonian. From this picture at home I found two that have
much noticeably shorter bill with very little black at the tip. Could they
be Hudsonian or just Juvenile of the Marbled Godwit?

Mysterious Bird

I found this bird near the Godwits at Westport on the same day. What is it?
A Juvenile Sooty Shearwater?
