Hello All,

Yesterday evening along with our old friend Phil Bartley we saw the EWP in the trees to the north of the home at the end of the road. Very quiet at first and after we had been there about ten min. It started calling loudly. Had great views of it and had it dive down after a flying insect to within three feet of my feet. Took a number of photos-one is posted to my Facebook site as well as the Blue Mountain Audubon Facebook page. Very different from the Western wood Pewee in plumage, call and shape. Great find Matt ! We also observed a Western Flycatcher, a Hammonds Flycatcher and a Dusky Flycatcher in the same general area. On our way back home we came to an orchard with 17 Common Nighthawks hawking insects over the trees. This was along McMannaman Rd. on the Grant/Adams County line.
