Hi Birders:

Following a lead from Tim Brennan, I went to see peeps at M Street in
Auburn. Tim saw about 30 LESA and a couple of WESA yesterday.

Today, there were much bigger flocks both on the M Street ponds, and in the
muddy fields on 29th Street. I estimate that there were over 150 birds in
the fields on 29th Street. In addition to a Greater Yellowlegs, I was able
to identify four Westerns, and one Semipalmated among the very large and
active flock of Least Sandpipers. The SESA was a larger and grayer with
black legs and a short stubby bill.

There was also a Western Kingbird actively flycatching from one of the
barbed wire posts the transect the field on 29th Street close to the barns.

There were quite a few Dunlin in the ponds on M Street, close to the farm.
