- Are you interested in the geomorphology of active convergence margins?
- Would your research benefit from dense, continuous, standardized data
that could be readily utilized to address critical earthquake, volcanic,
landslide and tsunami hazards questions?

*…such as terrestrial lidar, hi-res seafloor bathymetry, denudation rates,
thermochronology, precipitation and moisture data, GPS, environmental
seismology, and more…*

The Land- Scapes and Sea-Scapes working group of the SZ4D initiative
welcomes you to participate in an informal zoom working group meeting on
April 29, 2022 at 12PM PT/3PM Eastern. We will discuss the current and
future SZ4D activities and provide information about how to get involved in
the next stage of SZ4D.

SZ4D (Subduction Zones in 4 Dimensions) is a community-driven initiative to
study the places where Earth’s tectonic plates converge, with a focus on
the fundamental processes underlying geologic hazards such as great
earthquakes, tsunamis, landslides, and volcanic eruptions. The Land- and
Sea-Scapes (LS) component of the SZ4D is focused on understanding earth
surface processes that give rise to geohazards.
