Foundation, which supports Haskell Indian Nations University, is the fiscal-sponsor for the Rising Voices, Changing Coasts (RVCC) Hub, a large-scale, 5-year project funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF). </span></p>

RVCC-Hub is seeking a recent Ph.D. graduate in an interdisciplinary degree, including education with a focused interest in coastal Indigenous Peoples and interdisciplinary and convergence science research. The RVCC Hub will create a space for convergence
of disciplines and epistemologies where Indigenous knowledge-holders from diverse coastal regions will work with university-trained social, ecosystem, and physical Earth system scientists and students on transformative convergence research to address coastal
hazards in the contexts of their communities. Indigenous partners in the RVCC Hub are not subjects, but co-creators of the convergence science created through the Hub activities. </span></p>

RVCC-Hub goals are to 1) co-create convergence research with social and earth sciences and Indigenous Knowledges to improve modeling and prediction of coastal processes that support decision making by Indigenous communities around mitigation and adaptation;
2) develop a successful, inclusive framework for cross-cultural convergence research that can be adopted and adapted by future research collaborations; 3) broaden participation amongst Indigenous students and researchers, and train a new generation of diverse
convergence research scientists; 4) increase administrative and technological infrastructure to support current and future research with and by Indigenous scientists and communities. The place-based research is focused on four regions: Alaska (Arctic), Louisiana
(Gulf of Mexico), Hawai‘i (Pacific Islands), and Puerto Rico (Caribbean Islands).</span></p>

position is designed to produce the next generation of scientists in the field of coastal research and resilience and build ethical and sustainable co-created research partnerships. A strong interdisciplinary background in education and social sciences, Indigenous
studies, and/or evaluation is desired, as well as enthusiasm for such work. In particular, this post-doctoral researcher will work on Indigenous curriculum development and on-site program support. A good understanding of both traditional ecological knowledges
and Indigenous knowledges, and Indigenous educational epistemologies is desired. Ideal candidates will have some knowledge of Indigenous/American Indian educational histories, methods, and methodologies. </span></p>
