We host the Schooner to bring climate outreach panels to breweries around Seattle to foster communication and conversation between UW graduate students and the public concerning climate change, its causes, impacts and solutions. We are <b>now excited to announce that we will be bringing back the <i>Schooner Series,</i> live and in-person, in collaboration with Cascadia Climate Action</b>.</span><span lang=EN-US><o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-US> <o:p></o:p></span></p><p style='margin:0cm'><span lang=EN-US style='font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black;background:white'>We are looking for speakers for our next in-person brewery event, which is scheduled to take place the evening of <b>February 8, 2023 at Bickersons Brewhouse in Ballard </b>(formerly Peddlers Brewing). The event is going to focus on <b><u>“The Science, Engineering, and Policy of Climate Solutions”</u></b>, i.e. on climate solutions and how the science, research, and engineering that we as graduate students do connects to such actionable, urgently needed ways of addressing the climate crisis. We are looking for 3 people to give ~10-15 minute talks on their research or general interests related to this theme.
