These funding opportunities are meant to help students, researchers, and faculty conduct climate science research, apply their findings, and enhance expertise inside and outside of academia. Each is briefly described below with detail in the attached documents. </div><div><br></div><div>Many thanks to Bill Calvin and Katherine Graubard for their generous support of the Program on Climate Change. </div><div><br></div>1.The Program on Climate Change (PCC) announces a new graduate fellowship opportunity to begin in winter quarter 2023. <b>The Graubard Fellowship in the Program on Climate Change</b>, funded by Katherine Graubard and William Calvin, will support at least three students working on climate science research broadly defined towards a Ph.D. degree. Proposals for 3-12 months of support (0.5 FTE) will be considered. APPLICATION DEADLINE: November 1, 2022. (see attached for details)<div><br><div>2. <b>Climate Science Research Acceleration Fund.</b> The Program on Climate Change (PCC) is requesting proposal submissions from faculty and research scientists for climate-related research projects that accelerate climate research at the UW. Funding can be used (e.g.) • for startup research projects aimed at leveraging research grants • for side-projects or interesting new directions resulting from projects currently funded by external sources • to fund lecturer visits by prominent scientists of broad interest to the UW climate community• to fund mini conferences on an interdisciplinary topic. (see attached for deadlines and details)</div><div><br></div><div>3. <font face="arial, sans-serif"><span style="line-height:107%">The PCC is accepting proposals from graduate
students for “<b>PCC</b> <b>Climate Solutions Projects</b>” that help them
gain experience outside academia while applying their climate-science knowledge
to solutions-based projects, capstone programs, and outreach efforts with
