<div dir="ltr">Hi Everyone,<div><br></div><div>Just a reminder that this workshop will be held tomorrow, Friday the 23rd at 1pm. Alternatively, do you find aspects of the process of choosing a journal mysterious? Then this workshop is for you! We will discuss the process and considerations for choosing a written venue for your work. Topics covered will include how to identify an appropriate audience for your results, choose a journal that caters to that audience, and craft a manuscript with both audience and target journal in mind. This workshop will use examples from AGU journals, but the discussion will be general enough so that participants will gain the skills necessary to choose an appropriate journal far outside of the AGU journal family. Please bring pencil/paper to the workshop (I’ll bring extras for those who forget). Throughout the workshop we will focus on addressing the questions and concerns of students and postdocs, but all are welcome to participate. <br><br>The workshop will be led by Caitlin Whalen, a physical oceanographer at the Applied Physics Laboratory and an editor for Geophysical Research Letters. <br clear="all"><div><br></div>-- <br><div dir="ltr"><div dir="ltr"><div dir="ltr"><div dir="ltr"><div dir="ltr"><font color="#999999"><span style="font-size:x-small">Caitlin Whalen</span><br></font></div><div dir="ltr"><font size="1" color="#999999">Senior Oceanographer, Applied Physics Laboratory </font></div><div><font size="1" color="#999999">Affiliate Assistant Professor, School of Oceanography </font></div><div dir="ltr"><font size="1" color="#999999">University of Washington</font><div><div><div><br><br></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>
