[pccgrads] Announcing Kyle Armour as the new PCC Director

Dear members of the PCC Community,

I am pleased to announce that Dr. Kyle Armour has agreed to serve as the Director of the Program on Climate Change. Kyle's appointment term is effective January 30, 2026, through June 30, 2029.

Kyle will be familiar to most of you given his long-term involvement in the PCC, including his recent role as the Interim Director, his organization of multiple PCC Summer Institutes, and his regular teaching in core PCC courses. As the PCC Director, Kyle will be responsible for refreshing the PCC Strategic Plan and continuing to build collaborations across educational programming and research. I am excited to have the opportunity to work closely with Kyle to enhance and further the PCC's vibrancy and collaborative community of climate change experts.

I want to take this opportunity to thank all of you who participated in the search process. I am especially grateful for the work of the individuals who served on the search committee* in consulting widely within the PCC community. I also want to belatedly thank Dr. Becky Alexander for her service as the outgoing PCC Director and for her thoughtful leadership that enabled PCC to continue to thrive over the past several years, despite multiple challenges.
