Hi PCC Community,
As you know, the US weather and climate research community is facing an
unprecedented attack on our research and forecasting capabilities. From Wed.
May 28th to Sun. June 1st, we will begin a public-facing, nonpartisan
100-hour Weather & Climate Livestream <https://wcstreamathon.netlify.app/>,
where meteorologists and climate scientists from across the country will
give virtual 20-minute talks continuously as we share our work and why it
matters for every American. Viewers will get a chance to interact with the
speakers via moderated questions.
I'm helping organize this, and we still need ~30 speakers to fill our
livestream. If you are willing to participate and are a climate scientist
or meteorologist whose work has ever been funded in part by the US federal
government, please email me directly. Additionally, *we have** an urgent
need for someone to fill open slots from 12:30 - 1 am and 1:30-2 am Pacific
Time on early Thursday morning*. If you are willing to do this in the name
of protecting climate science, please email me ASAP!
Additionally, please follow us on Youtube and social media @wclivestream
Thank you so much for your consideration!
Best,
Stella
