We are excited to announce this years' Summer Institute!
The 2025 Program on Climate Change Summer Institute will be held at Friday Harbor Laboratories Wednesday September 10th to Friday September 12th.
This years' program is led by Kyle Armour (ATMS/OCEAN) and Eric Steig (UW ESS) on
"Paleoclimate Constraints on Future Climate” .
Themes: Proxies and reconstructions; Climate sensitivity and global climate change; Hydrologic cycle; Carbon cycle; Ocean circulation; Ecosystems; Cryosphere and sea level
Speakers: Kevin Anchukaitis (U Arizona), Natalie Burls (George Mason University), Justin Penn (Princeton), Jiang Zhu (NCAR), Becky Alexander (UW Atmos), David Battisti (UW Atmos), Mirą Berdahl (UW ESS), Vince Cooper (UW/MIT), Greg Hakim (UW Atmos), Gemma O’Connor (UW Ocean), Frankie Pavia (UW Ocean), Gerard Roe (UW ESS), Caroline Stömberg (UW Biology), Alex Turner (UW Atmos), Mo Walczak (UW Ocean)
Registration will only be available between June 16, 2025, and July 16, 2025. On June 16 the registration link will be sent to people on the pcc list serves and made available on the PCC event page. You will not be able to register after July 16.
You will be notified of your registration status, accepted or waitlisted between July 21st and 25th. This notification will come with a second Google form that asks you for additional information (poster contribution, carpools, dietary needs) and provides information on housing at the labs.
Deadline to respond to this second survey will be August 20th.
