Join your colleagues at the PCC Winter Welcome
<https://pcc.uw.edu/events/winter-welcome/> on Wednesday, February 26th
from 5-8 pm. The evening will begin at 5 pm in FSH 102, the auditorium of
the Fisheries Sciences Building <https://www.washington.edu/maps/#!/fsh>.
PCC Director Becky Alexander will welcome everyone and introduce new
community members, share program updates, and host lightning talks by new
postdocs. New people and postdocs include:


Hilairy Hartnett (New Faculty and Director of UW Oceanography)
Francisca Santana (New SEFS faculty)
Claire Willing (New SEFS faculty)
9 Postdocs/Research Scientists from CICOES, APL, OCEAN, ATMOS, and more.



The event will then transition to the Fisheries Lobby for socializing with
friends and colleagues. You'll enjoy a catered appetizer buffet with
drinks. There will be an opportunity to vote for the theme of the 2025 PCC
Summer Institute <https://pcc.uw.edu/events/pcc-summer-institute/> which
will be held September 10-12 at Friday Harbor Laboratories. This year's
theme contenders are:



- Paleoclimate constraints on future climate
- Climate extremes and attribution science
- PNW climate change and impacts
