Want to share your expertise and make an impact on a community? Take a
look at the current possibilities through AGU's Thriving Earth Exchange
(TEX). Projects are described, and expertise needed is described for each
project.

Current projects looking for expertise:

*A local project: *I've been working with some members of the Lake Forest
Park community to develop a resilience and mitigation resource to implement
aspects of the cities climate action plan. One of our project leaders,
Dana Campbell, was recently highlighted in UW Bothell news
<https://www.washington.edu/community-engagement/2025/08/20/local-grassroots-climate-action/>
talking about phase one of the project--building a physical space for the
community to gather. Phase two is building the web based resource.
We are looking to bring together two or three people to help us develop a
GIS map of data and resources in the city. Read the TEX description here
<https://thrivingearthexchange.org/project/lake-forest-park-wa/>. I am
happy to answer any questions-we are hoping to find local expertise to work
on this-you can also reach out to our community science fellow (Megan
Hubbard) or fill out the interest form
<https://thrivingearthexchange.org/apply-for-a-project/>.
There aren't any other projects in Washington State right now, but there
are many that you could do remotely.
Please share this email with others who might want to participate in AGU's
Thriving Earth Exchange programming.
Best,
Miriam
