Good Morning Everyone,
The South Carolina State Climatology Office is seeking a qualified
applicant to work as a Climatologist with experience in hydroclimatology.
The role is of significant importance as it will involve close
collaboration with sectors impacted by drought (such as agriculture,
forestry, and natural resources) to provide weekly contributions to the
U.S. Drought Monitor. This individual will also work closely with the SC
State Climatologist to coordinate state-level drought management and
administer the Drought Response Committee. This individual will conduct
drought and water resource-related research and product development with
potential applications to agricultural and natural resource management,
climate forecasting, and hydrological modeling.
This is an exciting opportunity for growth and learning in the field of
climatology. We are eager to welcome a new team member in Columbia, SC, so
