Pre-doctoral Instructor (PDI) for Winter 2025:*

*Course: Q SCI 482: Statistical Inference in Applied Research I: Hypothesis
Testing and Estimation for Ecologists and Resource Managers*
Dates: December 16, 2024 - March 15, 2025
Compensation: Position is 60% FTE, PDIs are paid at the Candidate Rank,
monthly compensation is $3,949 ($11,847 for the quarter), must be in good
academic standing

*Priority Deadline to Apply: October 28th, 2024.*
Priority consideration given to applications received by this date.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
*Statistical Inference in Applied Research I: Hypothesis Testing and
Estimation for Ecologists and Resource Managers (5) NSc*
Analysis of variance and covariance; chi square tests; nonparametric
procedures multiple and curvilinear regression; experimental design and
power of tests. Application to biological problems. Use of computer
programs in standard statistical problems. Prerequisite: either STAT 311 or
Q SCI 381.
