I’m writing to invite you to a climate-relevant event at the University of Washington this Friday evening, 5/17/24, at 6:00 PM in ARC 147. We’ll be showing a new documentary about modern monetary theory called Finding The Money. It explores our financial system, and the resulting implications for how we build/share wealth and tackle our most pressing societal challenges like climate. We’ll follow the screening with a Q&A session with the filmmaker (Maren Poitras) and the film’s protagonists, renown economists Stephanie Kelton and L. Randall Wray, as well as climate scientist Dargan Frierson and environmental journalist David Roberts.
