Hi all -

We have a unique opportunity available for a shared Public Communications
Specialist
<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://jobs.ncsu.edu/postings/204772__;!!K-Hz7m0Vt54!kJPSfnZMR8phU9zkc3lh4Tqye5hCUhTN-P8kTxPt2fdK-JwlFPaGWImLanMf33-G7C7D7N-gQTSqoYu64KUYOt4$>.
The position will be 50% with the State Climate Office (reporting to me)
and 50% with the NC State Department of Marine, Earth, and Atmospheric
Sciences (reporting to new Department Head, Gary Lackmann
<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://sciences.ncsu.edu/news/atmospheric-scientist-gary-lackmann-named-head-of-marine-earth-and-atmospheric-sciences/__;!!K-Hz7m0Vt54!kJPSfnZMR8phU9zkc3lh4Tqye5hCUhTN-P8kTxPt2fdK-JwlFPaGWImLanMf33-G7C7D7N-gQTSqoYu69aItQ5A$>
).

I know there are a lot of alums and people on this list with a fondness for
NC State and the Wolfpack. This is an exciting time to join both the NCSCO
and MEAS, and this position has a lot of room for creativity and new ideas
to promote the good work of our incredible team and the amazing faculty,
staff, and students in the Department. Raleigh, NC is an easy and vibrant
place to live.

Kathie

Kathie Dello, PhD (she/her)

Co-Director, NOAA's Carolinas Climate Adaptation Partnership (CAP/RISA)
State Climatologist of North Carolina
NC State University
