The UW Clean Energy Institute (CEI) has extended applications for the Advanced Experience Program (AXP)<https://www.cei.washington.edu/education/uw-graduate-students/advanced-experience-program/> to end of day August 4th. Created through the generous support of the Mark Torrance Foundation, AXP connects UW doctoral students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) with decision makers at E8, a cleantech angel investing group, and the Washington State Academy of Sciences (WSAS), a science analysis advisory branch to the WA state legislature, allowing participants to apply their knowledge to influence and inform emerging real-world projects in the start-up business or public policy realms. Each of AXP’s two tracks (Tech Due Diligence or Science Policy Analysis) have a time commitment of ~ 20 hours performed on a flexible schedule, plus a final deliverable, after completion of which each participant will receive a $1,200 honorarium.
