Dear PCC Colleagues,

Please join us on *October 30, 2018 *for the Wildfire Smoke Risk
Communication Stakeholder Symposium. Hosted by the University of Washington
Collaborative on Extreme Event Resilience, Program on Climate Change, and
Climate Impacts Group, the symposium aims to bring together the University
of Washington climate and health research community with local, state,
tribal, and federal practitioners working on wildfire smoke and health
issues in Washington State.

The symposium will convene regional stakeholders to share lessons learned
from the 2017 and 2018 wildfire seasons, and to foster academic-practice
partnerships to address existing challenges related to wildfire smoke and
health in Washington State.

Scientific experts will share the latest findings from wildfire smoke and
health research, framed within the broader context of how to prepare for
wildfire in a changing climate. Public health, fire, and emergency
management practitioners will share their experiences preparing for and
responding to wildfire smoke.

Practitioners, researchers, and students will engage in interactive
activities to develop collaborative approaches to addressing critical
wildfire smoke public health challenges.

Please share this with your networks; we would love to have more
representation from the PCC community. To ensure that diverse perspectives
are represented, we are accepting a certain number of registrants from each
sector on a first-come first-serve basis, so please RSVP early to reserve a
spot.

Please visit https://www.uwceer.org/wildfire-smoke/ for more information
and to access the registration survey.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Best,
