Hi All,

US GO-SHIP planning for a 2019 reoccupation of WOCE Section I06S is well
underway. The cruise will be from Cape Town - Cape Town, departing in very
early April 2019, and will be 38 days in duration. Stations will be
occupied along the same section as previously (
http://whp-atlas.ucsd.edu/whp_atlas/indian/i06/track/track.htm), along 30°E
from Antarctica to approximately Durban, with transits at both ends. Alex
Orsi will be Chief Scientist. Isa Rosso will be co-Chief Scientist. US
GO-SHIP is now advertising for six student positions, preferably grad
students attending US institutions:

Four CTD watch standers: questions, applications sent to Alex Orsi and
Lynne Talley
One CFC watch stander: questions, applications sent to Dong-Ha Min
One LADCP watch stander: questions, applications sent to Andreas Thurnherr

The advertisement is attached, please feel free to distribute it widely.

Best regards,

Greg Johnson
