[pccgrads] Tomorrow! 7-8 PM, Kane Hall: Panel discussion on climate policy in WA

Hi all,

The UW student employees union (UAW4121) along with the environmental
policy group at the Evans School (GreenEvans) are hosting a panel
discussion at the University of Washington to facilitate an informative
conversation around climate justice and Washington State climate policy.
Many of you will likely be interested in the topic, and some familiar faces
will be on the panel.

Our panelists for the evening will be:

- *Rosalinda Guillen*, Executive Director of Community to Community
Development, the Pacific Northwest's leader in food justice, immigration
reform and farmworker rights
- *Daniel Malarkey*, Board Member on Washington *CleanTech* Alliance and
previous Deputy Director of Washington's Department of *Commerce*
- *Nives Dolsak* PhD, Associate Director of the School of Marine and
Environmental Affairs and member of the *Puget Sound Partnership’s
Science Panel*
*Jeff Johnson, President of the Washington Chapter of AFL-CIO, the largest
federation of labor unions in the United States *
- *Heidi Roop* PhD, Strategic Communications Lead for the *Climate
Impacts Group*
- *Moderated by:* Dr. *Sarah Myhre*, UW Oceanography Researcher, Climate
Justice Activist and one of the Most Influential Seattleites of 2017
