*Feeling inspired by the snow storm? *
If yes, then join us *tomorrow* *TUESDAY, February 7th at 5 PM in ATG 610 *for
a joint Graduate Student Seminar (GSS) featuring "Postcards from the
Arctic". We are super stoked to have Oceanography grad student, Sarah Dewey
<http://psc.apl.uw.edu/people/students/sarah-dewey/>, and Coast Guard
Lieutenant, Caroline Bell
<http://psc.apl.uw.edu/people/students/caroline-bell/>, share their
research in the Arctic!
The GSS is a great way to get involved in the PCC, meet new people and
learn something new! Mark your calendars and come hang with your PCC
buddies. If hearing about *cool* stories from the Arctic isn't enough,
there will be tasty *be*v*er*ages, pizza and cookies!
*What is the GSS?*
Throughout the year, the PCC graduate community hosts a mid week Graduate
Student Seminar (GSS) where students share their expertise on climate
science in a fun, relaxed, yet "seriously" academic environment. Talks are
designed to educate non-experts while exposing other graduate students to
the questions and research at the forefront of climate science. This is a
great opportunity to practice communicating your work. If you would like to
get involved and give a talk, please email Hillary (scanh at uw.edu) and we'll
put you on the schedule!
Hope to see you tomorrow!
