Dear Colleagues,

This Tuesday there will be a talk at UW discussing projected climate change
impacts in Washington, and how Initiative 732, Washington's carbon tax
initiative, will affect Washington's economy and help fight climate change.
Please feel free to spread the word to students and others that might be
interested.

Date: Tuesday 11th of October, 7pm
Venue: Sieg Hall Room 134

Overview: If Washington votes yes on Initiative 732 in November, it will
pass one of the stronger climate policies in the world, and the most
progressive change to its (deeply regressive) tax system in 40 years. This
talk will discuss how Initiative 732 will address climate change and impact
Washington State's economy. It will also provide an overview of how climate
change is expected to impact Washington State if we do not take further
action on climate change.

Presenters:
Karl Lapo - University of Washington - Department of Atmospheric Sciences
Alex Lenferna - UW Philosophy Department - Fellow at YesOn732.org

Regards,
Alex
