If you are a grad student thinking about doing a capstone, but did not
respond to this survey, sent out a week or so ago, to help me plan, please
do complete the brief survey at:
Jeremy Hess (Global Health) and Joe Casola (CIG) will be joining us to
brainstorm capstone project ideas. If you are someone interested in working
with a capstone student, or learning about what the GCeCS is about, please
respond to this email, and join us on
Wednesday, April 6
OCN 310 (NOTE WE NOW HAVE A ROOM, ATG was not available!).
The original email is below, thank you to those that have already responded.
-Miriam and LuAnne
Hello all! I'm reaching out to those on the PCC grad email list, as well as
directly to some of you who are launching capstone projects, or want to
launch a project, to satisfy the capstone requirement for the Graduate
Certificate in Climate Science.
>From conversations with some of you, it is clear that it would be useful to
meet so you can get a better idea of.
1. what projects others are working on (so those with defined projects,
please come willing to share your project);
2. kinds of projects that have been completed recently, including
partnerships between social and physical science students
and to brainstorm/refine ideas for projects.
We will be inviting representatives of CIG, Global Health, and others, who
may be interested in advising projects, and could help participate in
brainstorming capstone ideas.
If you are interested in this or a future meeting on the topic, please fill
out the RSVP survey (preferably by Monday, March 28) at:
I'm looking for a space in ATG, so look for a reminder email with a location
during the first week of spring quarter.
Let me know if you have questions.
