USAID Environment Foreign Service Officer position open til 7/29

APPLY: https://www.usajobs.gov/GetJob/ViewDetails/443527800

"The crux of the job is to manage USAID-funded environmental projects out of missions/embassies abroad. Currently the portfolio is a mix of climate change adaptation and mitigation, clean energy, forestry, biodiversity, water, and compliance work, depending on the individual country. After 6-12 months of training in DC, the first post is for 2 years, then after that it would be 4 years per country assignment, and can include rotations at headquarters in DC.

Please note this is a specialist position in Environment for USAID, it is a bit different than State Department's Foreign Service which is more well known, requires a test, and does not require topic-specific expertise. No test is required, just a USAJOBS resume, a day long interview (if selected), and positive medical and security clearances (if selected). They fly people in for the interview from anywhere in the world, so you need not be DC-based to apply."
