Hi Everyone,

As part of the UW Philosophers Talk about the Migration Crisis series
(poster attached), Lauren Hartzell-Nichols and myself will be discussing
climate change and migration from a philosophical and interdisciplinary
perspective. It's a very informal discussion and you're all welcome to join
us. More details below:

Wednesday, November 18th, 2015
12:00-1:00 PM

Location: SAV 300H @ large wooden table outside of the Main Office, SAV 361

Lauren Hartzell-Nichols
<https://phil.washington.edu/people/lauren-hartzell-nichols> and Alex
Lenferna <https://phil.washington.edu/people/alex-lenferna>

Topic: How is climate justice relevant for immigration policy and
considerations of responsibility to help climate change displaced persons?

Each session will begin with a brief, 15-20 minute presentation and then
will continue with discussion. Our goal is to stimulate conversation about
this important topic. Everyone in the UW community--students, faculty, and
staff--are invited to attend. The only prerequisite is that you come
willing to listen and discuss with respect. For more information, check our
website (phil.washington.edu) or send an e-mail message to philinfo at uw.edu.

All the best,
