Hi LuAnne,
I thought the PCC group might have someone in their ranks who would be
interested in this job.

Hi Leads.

The Office of the Chief Scientist is looking for a climate change scientist
to join the team. You can see the position description here
<http://jobs.nature.org/district-of-columbia-usa/climate-change-scientist/CE93420DDA0847EFB5B6B210BCC07A82/job/>.
Would love your help circulating this through your networks. Applications
close on the 10th of June.

We’re looking for someone who can take a lead role in using climate change
data to support strategy development and decisions in areas such as water,
agriculture, and energy provision. The position will also support
cutting-edge applied research on climate change impacts and adaptation
related to nature and people. It’s a great opportunity to work
internationally with leading scientists and organizations in search of
solutions to major environmental and social challenges.

The ideal candidate would bring a strong knowledge of climate modelling,
experience linking state of the art climate models to environmental
changes, and a professional network in climate science.

The position is currently listed as DC based but in reality location is
flexible, including outside the US (I’m trying to get HR to change the job
notice to reflect this).

Best,

Eddie
