[pccgrads] High School Module Workshop--do you know high school teachers

Over the last three years a number of PCC grads worked with high school
teachers through a NASA grant to develop labs and content for a UWHS ATMS
211 course that is now being taught in the high schools by high school

We have been hosting workshops for high school teachers, most of whom have
been associated with the UWHS program in some way. (See
http://www.uwhs.washington.edu/uwhs/ for information on that program). I
occasionally have been asked by grad students if a friend of theirs who is a
teacher could participate. So, I am sharing this opportunity with you.
Teachers get clock hours, lunch..

The workshop on labs developed for the geoscience classrooms, most by UW
grad students is on Saturday October 18, at UW. I still have space for
qualified teachers who would benefit. So, although it states open to UWHS
teachers, if you know of a teacher with a strong science background who
might be interested in participating, please let them know about this
opportunity. I've attached the registration information. They are welcome
to contact me with questions, and to send the information requested on the
registration form to me, preferably by Oct. 2.

Many thanks for sharing the opportunity,
